A professional training program for journalists working in Kismayo has been launched under the guidance of veteran Somali journalist Shaaiye Abdirisak Salad.
The training brings together journalists from different media organizations operating in Kismayo, providing them with an opportunity to strengthen their professional capabilities and improve the quality of their reporting.
The program covers key areas of modern journalism, including news gathering, reporting techniques, information verification, media ethics, digital journalism, and effective communication with audiences.
Speaking during the opening of the training, Shaaiye Abdirisak Salad stressed the importance of continuous learning and professional development, noting that journalists must keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in the media industry.
The participating journalists are also expected to benefit from practical discussions and the exchange of experiences, allowing them to learn from one another and develop new approaches to their daily media work.
