Mogadishu, Somalia — Member of Parliament Hon. Mohamed Adan Dahir (Caanoy) held an official meeting with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to discuss key national priorities and social development issues.
The meeting focused on social affairs and the ongoing efforts to advance Somalia’s democratic process, particularly the roadmap toward implementing a one-person, one-vote electoral system in the country.
Hon. Mohamed Adan Dahir (Caanoy) underscored the importance of cooperation between state institutions and public representatives in promoting stability, transparency, and effective governance.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, enhancing social welfare, and ensuring fair and inclusive elections for all Somali citizens.
The two leaders concluded their meeting by expressing optimism about Somalia’s continued progress toward achieving lasting peace, unity, and a fully representative democratic system.
