The Ministry of Peace and Unity, led by Hon. Deeq Abdiaziz Mohamed Jidaal, has signed new international agreements with organizations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East to strengthen Somalia’s peacebuilding initiatives.
These partnerships focus on capacity building, conflict resolution training, and community dialogue programs, ensuring that local leaders, youth, and women are empowered to lead reconciliation efforts.
Hon. Deeq emphasized:
“International cooperation is key to sustainable peace. These partnerships bring expertise, resources, and innovative solutions to support Somalia’s journey toward unity and stability.”
The Ministry also plans to host annual international peace forums, bringing together global diplomats, NGOs, and local leaders to share best practices and develop joint strategies.
