During the Burtinle Regional Development Forum, Ayuub Abdirizak Ahmed, Media Advisor – Puntland State House, unveiled a detailed 2026 Strategic Media Roadmap aimed at modernizing government communications and strengthening public engagement across the Nugaal region.
The roadmap covers digital modernization, crisis communication systems, training for spokespersons, and the establishment of district-level information hubs in towns including Burtinle, Dangorayo, and Qarxis.
Ayuub emphasized that effective public communication is a foundation of good governance and stressed the need for quick, accurate, and transparent government messaging. He added that Puntland’s media sector must keep pace with global communication standards to ensure the public receives reliable and timely information.
District leaders attending the forum welcomed the roadmap and committed to working closely with the State House to make the plan a reality in 2026.
